First of all, a warm hello and welcome, sport business enthusiast! If you’ve landed here, you have either browsed around our website, which makes us very grateful, or you are a hard-core fan of the sport’s behind-the-scenes and its business growth, which more than excites us.

We are Sport Business Chain, a bunch of go-getters who have embarked on a mission to contribute to the development of the sport business sector in Eastern Europe by collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, from sport organisations representatives to decision makers, sport-related academic institutions, sportspeople and students.

We stand for propelling the sport business landscape further by embracing positivity, providing opportunities, sharing optimism, generating excitement, showing dedication, working hard, and generating scalable results. This is heavily engrained in our ‘why’ and ‘how’.

Getting down to the nitty-gritty

As a non-profit organisation based in Romania, we will deliver a three-day networking event in Bucharest for the sport leaders, practitioners, entrepreneurs, policy-makers, students and athletes to meet, share their hustle, develop themselves and grow the sport business landscape. The project’s business aspect translates into how can sport organisations across the public, private and volunteering sectors generate extra value and monetise activities such as digital marketing, social media, fan engagement or ecommerce. The social aspect revolves around contributing to the education of the next generation of sport leaders and stimulating the employment demand in sport, a sector with numerous opportunities around business, marketing or sponsorship departments.

The format of the conference builds upon discovering and debating the hottest trends in the sport business ecosystem, innovations, insights and industry-related case studies. International sport influencers, decision-makers and sportspeople will take the stage to explore how sport could be best monetised, how communities could be involved and how fans could be engaged.

Nothing will change instantaneously, but everything can be changed for the better with the right drive, the passion, the openness to feedback and change, and the willingness to put in the hours, the work and the sweat. Because nothing ventured, nothing gained.
